# How can I update a volume license and add additional seats?

This is a two-step process, which you can do in the License Manager (opens in a new tab).

1.  **Upgrade your existing license.** Important: Do **not** change the number of seats during checkout - this will not work!

2.  **Add additional seats** - you can do this after the upgrade:
