Firemen Rush is an arcade game. A building is on fire, and you are the firemen. Your goal is to rescue as many people as you can, while picking power-ups and avoiding falling rubble caused by explosions. How many people can you rescue? Demonstrate your ability, dominate the leader board and share your score!
We use cocos2d-iphone to code our iOS games. Pixel art games often use small size assets, and having all assets in one unique texture is the ideal case. This is quite easy to achieve with TexturePacker, that also lets us use .pvr format. So, at the end, we have optimized and lightweight textures for both the performance of the game and the final app size.
Every TexturePacker feature makes our life easier, but the winner is Content Protection. There is too much graphic hard work behind our games. TexturePacker team should work side to side with cocos2d authors in order to have this feature really integrated in the workflow. Having to copy ZipUtils .h and .m each time cocos2d is updated is quite annoying.
Making pixel art games? Keep all your sprites with even size and use margin/padding inside TexturePacker.
