How did TexturePacker help you with your development?

It allowed us to reduce our texture memory consumption by 50% allowing us to run on lower end devices. With aliasing we were able to save a lot of texture space since many of the pixel art animations were the same image just moving around the frame.

Any tips and tricks you want to share with the community?

Learn the difference between trim and crop.

Aliasing is your friend.

Test out all the pixel format options along with dithering support, you may find you can get away with less memory, but don't forget to also set the pixel format correctly of the texture in memory after you've loaded it from disk in your game/app. Otherwise you're not saving any memory resources.

Command line supports using both the .tps file as the means for getting the correct images, but also for packing any directory of images that you specify in the command itself.
