How does the "Approved" flag work?

The Approved flag is a manual marker you can set for each translation in BabelEdit. It's never changed automatically, but you have several options to manage it:

  • Click the icon next to a translation to toggle its Approved flag.
  • Use Tools → Change approved flags... to update multiple flags at once.
  • Export and re-import translations (including their Approved flags) to CSV or Excel using the Export / Import feature.

To update Approved flags for a specific set of translations:

  1. Use Set Filter to narrow down your selection.
  2. Press Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on macOS) to select all filtered entries.
  3. Go to Tools → Change approved flags..., and make sure "change selected items only" is checked.
